He spent eleven years in prison for a murder he didn't commit, but the pain lasted Donald Marshall Junior a lifetime. This Mi'kmaq from Cape Breton struggled to survive outside. Reluctant Hero: The Donald Marshall Story, was produced for CBC Television’s biography series Life & Times. It examined Marshall's life before and after he was wrongfully convicted. His landmark Supreme Court case in the early 1980's changed the course of Canadian law.
